WASHINGTON – In an effort to increase the transparency of and accessibility to the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (U.S. Helsinki Commission), news, photos and videos from the Commission are now available on some of the most popular Web sites.
The Helsinki Commission today announced the launching of Helsinki Commission pages on the social networking site facebook and the photo and video sharing sites flickr and YouTube.
Follow the action on facebook at www.facebook.com/helsinkicommission, where you can find news updates, articles about Commission activities and other people who have already become a Commission ‘fan.’
Watch short videos on YouTube at www.youtube.com/helsinkicommission and see Chairman Senator Benjamin L. Cardin (D-MD), Co-Chairman Congressman Alcee L. Hastings (D-FL) and other Commissioners during their recent diplomatic travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus and Lithuania.
View and download official photographs from recent Commission activity at www.flickr.com/photos/helsinkicommission.
The Commission’s main Web site — www.csce.gov — remains your one-stop shop for news releases, official transcripts and Commission information. The new Web presence elsewhere is designed to reach audiences at the sites where they already are – and simplify the sharing of multimedia content with the news media and others interested in the Commission’s work.
