U.S. Senator John Boozman is serving his third term on the U.S. Helsinki Commission. He is committed to continuing an open global dialogue that helps protect and advance American foreign policy goals to expand democratic ideals and shape policies that protect our nation’s interests abroad.
Boozman serves on five Senate Committees including the Appropriations Committee where he serves on the State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs Subcommittee and as chairman of the Subcommittee on Homeland Security. In addition, Boozman is the co-chair of the Congressional Study Group on Europe (CSGE), a bipartisan organization dedicated to frank and candid dialogue between American lawmakers and their peers in European capitals and Brussels.
Boozman represented the Third District of Arkansas in the House of Representatives from 2001 until his election to the U.S. Senate. As a member of the House of Representatives Boozman promoted cooperation with allied countries with his service as a member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Parliamentary Assembly (NATO-PA), the British-American Parliamentary Group, and the House Democracy Assistance Commission, now called the House Democracy Partnership.
