Nida Ansari is a Policy Advisor on detail to the U.S. Helsinki Commission from the Office of Religion and Global Affairs at the Department of State where she covers the European Affairs, International Organizations/Multilateral Affairs, Muslim outreach and integration of Refugees/Migration portfolios. Nida previously acted as the primary liaison and point of contact responsible for monitoring and reporting on religious freedom issues in South Asia in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor at the Department.
Nida grew up in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. She received her B.A. from the University of Minnesota, and her M.S from George Mason University. She has designed and led collaborative workshops with religious actors on promoting civic engagement and integration in Europe, as well as economic development priorities such as investing and promoting entrepreneurship in North Africa.
