WASHINGTON—In an effort to increase the transparency of and accessibility to the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (U.S. Helsinki Commission), news, photos and videos from the Commission are now available on some of the most popular Web sites.

The Helsinki Commission today announced the launching of Helsinki Commission pages on the social networking site facebook and the photo and video sharing sites flickr and YouTube.

Follow the action on facebook at, where you can find news updates, articles about Commission activities and other people who have already become a Commission ‘fan.’

Watch short videos on YouTube at and see Chairman Senator Benjamin L. Cardin (D-MD), Co-Chairman Congressman Alcee L. Hastings (D-FL) and other Commissioners during their recent diplomatic travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus and Lithuania.
