Sergei Magnitsky, who blew the whistle on a $230 million tax fraud involving senior Russian officials, died Nov. 16, 2009, in a Russian prison after being repeatedly denied medical treatment. Those responsible for the crime have yet to be punished. This global premier is taking place at the parliaments of the European Union, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, and Estonia reflecting the international outrage stemming from this case.
